Tradewinds Motel Rockaway Beach

Our room was very clean and the little kitchen was completely stocked with everybody needed too cook, serve, eat and containers for store leftovers! Just need to pack your spices, oil and plastic wrap! The staff were also top notch!!! We were VERY SAD, that the fireplaces can't be used anymore because too many people ignored the warning not too burn driftwood in them, they burned holes in the chimneys! Can't wait to come back!!

I love the proximity to the beach. I also enjoy Neil the owner and his family. I appreciate how hard they work to make me feel welcome and comfortable. I will definitely return. This is rated as a "2 star" motel. The amenities work for me very well. I always enjoy my stay. There is free wifi

You cant find a better place, everything from the price to the location to the service! We were surprised by the kitchenette that seriously included everything from a toaster to plates and silverware, mixing bowls, pots and pans, and a whistle steam pot! ( this alone saved us several dollars so we could shop local and have a good meal that made us feel at home away from home and healthy cooking) The view from the second story is amazing and definitely worth the stairs others have complained about they are not that bad. ( the balcony comes equipped with chairs and table and the room has thick blankets to keep warm with while enjoying the balcony view) Easement to beach is super easy and accessible and they even have a wash station to remove sand from shoes or feet before entering hotel brilliant! They have a charcoal bbq and picnic tables for use for guests also. The front desk clerk was super friendly and expressed safety home as we checked out do to recent accidents in area. ( they are great at hospitality) The fire place being out of service was not a big deal just buy a bundle of fire wood and have a fire on the beach. Room was clean and fully furnished with above and beyond what we expected even the cleaning staff was friendly! Sincerely not trying to be rude but if you are a perfectionist or one who expects everything on a silver platter then this place is not for you , they truly and honestly try to give you a great experience at the best price and any Realtor will tell you location is everything which this place has hands down even walking up and down the beach my wife and I were grateful we picked Tradewinds as our stay do to everything I mentioned above very few other places like it just saying! This place is amazing! Wonderful, kind and lovely staff, very clean room, spectacular ocean view, 50’ from the beach. There is a fully equipped kitchenette. The property is very well maintained and beautiful. Picnic tables and grills out back by the ocean. The beach here is serene, with very few other people right now. They even lent me a charger for my phone! Great location near lots of things to see!

This was my first time at this location and it was so amazing! Beautiful and convenient beach access! Amazing views! Great price! Excellent customer service and friendly greeting upon arrival! We were also given a gift! We stayed two nights and walked to breakfast and dinner. After breakfast we came back to a fully clean room and made up bed!! Highly recommend! We will be going back!

Nice clean older motel that's been taken care of. The gentleman who checked me in was amazing. So nice and friendly. I got there a bit early but still was able to check in. The bed was very comfortable and the room very clean. Small kitchen, perfect for my needs. I would have given the room a fifth star except for the fact that the fireplaces are not working due to maintenance needed. You cannot beat the location. Right on the beach. I will definitely stay here again.

This motel is one of the best kept secrets of the Oregon Coast. I highly recommend a first floor room where you can sit on your private porch and watch the waves, or slip on your sandals and take a short set of steps right down to the beach. The rooms are clean with full kitchenettes, the beds are comfy, and the Wi-Fi works great. You're a few blocks to downtown Rockaway with shops and restaurants. The owners are very nice as is all of the staff. If you're looking for a place to get away and relax, this is the motel for you.

Following a devasting loss, four days in an oceanfront, balcony room was the only thing that eased my grief. Everything I could think of that I needed was there. The immediate presence of the owner's care, consideration and taste was so palpable. As a nightly bath-taker, I have never taken a bath in a hotel room in my life - scary. This bathtub was absolutely sparkling clean, and so, my nightly ritual was not forfeited, and added to my comfort and peace. Especially telling was my husband's response. Terrified of the ocean as he is, he fell immediately under the spell of this room. At check in, Neil informed us that the street work scheduled for the following week had been moved up to the next day, and if we wanted to find somewhere else, he would refund the full reservation. We did not. Because we knew there would be no better place, from the owner to the oceanfront room. We left there filled with the peace I went there to find. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
